FlyMe and XC Globe Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains how FlyMe and xcglobe.com handle your data.
-
Your data
FlyMe records GPS positions, timestamps and altitude in track files on your device. Files may include your name and glider. Local recording alone does not publish a flight. XC Globe stores the account details and flight data you submit.
-
Uploaded flights
Public flights and their tracks can be viewed and downloaded by others. Private uploads use XC Globe's access restrictions. Upload visibility is separate from live tracking.
-
Live tracking
When you enable live tracking, your positions are sent to XC Globe, including while FlyMe runs in the background. Live locations and tracks are public and linked to your pilot identity. FlyMe4's hidden and friends-only live settings are not supported. The PureTrack integration may also share your positions and pilot name with PureTrack. Disable live tracking to stop sending new positions.
-
Storage and sharing
Recordings remain on your device; submitted flights and live track archives are stored on XC Globe servers. Leaving the live map does not erase a track. Public data may be copied by others, and removing it from XC Globe cannot remove those copies. Third-party services have their own privacy policies.
